2024 Health & Wellness Policy

Texas Furry Fiesta continues to monitor the current state of COVID-19 and related guidelines.

Entry Requirements

This year, Texas Furry Fiesta will not mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or negative tests for entry, and we will not enforce masking. However, in the spirit of community well-being, we strongly recommend that attendees consider masking and exercising common sense, especially if they are not feeling well.

In line with our commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, we must emphasize that harassing those who choose to wear masks will not be tolerated. We celebrate diversity in all its forms, including individual choices regarding health and safety. Let’s create an atmosphere of respect and understanding as we come together to celebrate our shared interests.

Masking

Furry Fiesta staff does still recommend masking in close confines or high density areas such as:

  • Dealer’s Den
  • Panel Rooms
  • Family-Friendly
  • Main Stage (Performers exempt)
  • Art Show
  • Video Gaming
  • Tabletop Gaming
  • Cabaret Stage (Performers exempt)
  • Quiet Room

It is essential to note that our recommendation to wear masks is not solely focused on COVID-19 prevention but extends to minimizing the spread of flu and other illnesses, as well as reducing the occurrence of the infamous “con crud.” We believe that by collectively adopting these precautions, we can contribute to a healthier and more enjoyable convention experience for everyone.

Please Note

We highly recommend keeping an eye on the Dallas County Community Level, and encourage everyone to make their own decisions as to how they approach their personal safety at the convention. It is also still highly recommended to test before and after the convention, and as always please stay home if you find yourself having contracted COVID-19.
