What do you want to see?

This thread is intended for use in posting suggestions, ideas, concepts, or other musings about potential activities at Furry Fiesta. I promise that I'll personally read through each and every one of them, and who knows? You might just see your notion come to life!

Any plans for the video room?

Any plans for the video room? I'd recommend any of Minoru Kawasaki's wacky live action flicks (Calamari Wrestler is available on DVD here in the states, though getting hold of a fan subbed version of Executive Koala or Kani Goal Keeper would interest me.

Food?

I know that Dallas, as a city, has one of the highest rates of restaurants per capita in the nation, but are there any food-oriented events planned? I can't know for sure how the other guests will react, but I know that a lot of people will follow their noses to food if given the chance, and I've seen a barbecue or buffet set-up turn into a great place to pause and socialize.

We're actually planning a social dinner downstairs on Friday night, where everyone can get together and meet each other and have some tasty tasty food, and super-sponsors will be enjoying a dinner with the Guests of Honor on Saturday night. That said, I hope to have a guide available with nearby restaurants...and there sure are a lot of them!

That all sounds great! I'll

That all sounds great! I'll have to make a point of being there for the dinner on Friday.

Just make sure there's BBQ or Steaks on hand. :p

You can't have a true Texas feast without steaks and/or BBQ. I'd hate to think I'd have to make a run to a Texas Roadhouse or something while I'm there for that. ;)

I'm not too familiar with that particular area, but I do know about Restaurant Row in Mesquite. Lot's of places, but would have to drive there. Maybe 10-15 min tops, unless it's rush hour. I'm sure some of those places also have locations closer to the hotel though. *shrugs*

To give you some idea of what

To give you some idea of what restaurants are available in Addison, here's a map of what restaurants and attractions registered with the city's entertainment website. I don't know yet if it's a definitive list, but it seems to cover the bulk of what's there. Our hotel is label H7 on that map. The hotel provides a shuttle that makes regular trips between the hotel and most of the restuarants in the area.

That said, I know of at least 3 BBQ and steak places in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. So we've got you covered. ;-)

is there gonna be a con suit?

after all there are fur who spend all there money on bus fare or gas who dont have enough to do restrunt hoping

Con Suite

Yes, we'll be having a con suite also. :-)

A Sweet Suite?

What all goes into a con suite, anyway? I've always been a little fuzzy on that point.

The normal stuff...

Normally a consuite is a place to chill out with others away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the con. Nice chairs, sedate lighting, a few few drinks and snacks (nothing heavy, just basic munchies like lemonade, popcorn, chex mix, chips and salsa, etc). Sometimes there's a TV. Just a place to chill and relax a bit.

Video Game room?

can I expect to see some DDR/Stepmania at the con, that would be soo sweet :D
Any other games, whats gonna be there?

Probably the normal Guitar

Probably the normal Guitar Hero/Rock band, soul caliber, probably some place to hook up so people can geek out on portal or something. Though at the last con I was at someone brought a DDR pad and everything, so its a safe bet that this one will follow suit.
