Howdy, all! Sorry it's taken me so long to get something up on this forum about some of the main events that will be going on in the ballroom. This year we will have the wonderful opportunity to have three different furry musical artist who will be performing at the con. On top of live performances I'll be putting together a dance competition, times that everyone will be able to request music they would like to here, and possibly even a panel on DJin' online and in RL! :O
If you haven't already discovered by the website or by mouth, our musical guest of honor will be the well known Sub Level 03. This will be a great chance to hear some of the new material they have coming out sometime this summer from their new album, live!!! Next on that list will be the extreme hip hop talents of Bucktown Tiger, coming out to flow to some beats with a stripey tail. Then we'll be having DJ Shadowkatt, myself, putting together a remixed and nonstop mix of the current top 40 at the time as well as some original material.
The dance competition will be something I'm very exciting about doing and YES!! there will be prizes. :D

I sent you an e-mail about something else, but I wanted to ask here for others to see: Will the dances consist of other types of music with the DJ's other than top 40? I know most, if not all, other cons have several different genre's of electronic dance music that they play at night and play to 40/pop during the fursuit dances, but I didn't see mention of that in your post.

Actually I did metion, just must of not worded it well enough. During the times that we don't have a dance event going or an artist performing, this will be the times that furs will be able to request music that they would like to hear, on top of a random playlist. I do know that other cons have had several complaints from serveral furs that they would go to the dance portions and not hear what they want to hear. Although not everything can please everyone, I will be doing requests most of the time to alleviate any tension for such a complaint for the time alloted.
Again this will only be during the times an artist isn't performing or an actual event isn't going on, but the time alloted for that will not be short by any means.
The main music for most nights will be the artist themselves who are performing, which will be Bucktown Tiger, Sub Level 03, and myself. Hip Hop, Rock, and house/dance will be the majors, everything in between will be what con attendees wish to hear. : )
