Registration - Celyddon, Guardian, and Halfwit The following is more detailed information about each of our brave and hard-working staff members: Istanbul (Con Chair, Programming) - I'm Istanbul, a 33-year-old bunny fur who's been in the furry community since 1995, though I've been a furry fan for as long as I can remember. I've been playing games since I could walk, I'm a big fan of furry art and music and writing, and I've enjoyed fifteen conventions as either attendee or staff; include non-furry events, and the number rises above 20. When I combined those facts with my years of experience in the hotel industry and my ability to talk up a storm, well...starting a convention just seemed like the right thing to do! Furry Fiesta is a huge source of pride and hope for me, and I'm happy to wear two hats (programming and chairman) so that I can help to create a convention that everyone will enjoy for years to come! Guardian (Co-Con Chair, Logistics) - Hello there! I've been a member of the furry community since 1999 and have thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the furry population in DFW and beyond. I like most fantasy and scifi books and media (especially urban fantasy lately), good artwork, furry/scaly/feathery critters in general but especially Lions, Tigers, and Bears (oh my!), computers in general (and most things technical, really) and hanging out /w my friends. I never truly appreciated how much work went into planning a con before this. But I'm working extra hard to make sure Furry Fiesta 2010 runs like a well-oiled machine. I'm really looking forward to Furry Fiesta 2010! :-) Celyddon (Registration) - Celyddon is the resident avian, feather duster, and window breaker. She has been a member of the furry/feathery community for about 5 years. While not entirely a lifestyler, she does tend to be peckish, loves to wing it, tends to shriek when agitated, and eats like a...well, you get the idea. Do not, however, mistake her for a bird-brain. In her spare time she does semi-professional costuming and researches better ways to break her D&D game, completely reveling in the fact that she is indeed a dork. Shiva (Dealer's Den, Artist Alley, LJ liason) - The Chakat called Shiva - Shiva is a life-long fan of anthropomorphic characters, and she has been an active member of the fandom since '97. 'Hir' fursona is a white tiger chakat, and 'shi' has been a long-time member of the Taur communities. A local, she lives with her mates in nearby Dallas (and next door to some of her fellow Staff members!). For the second time, she is running our Dealer's Den and Artist's Alley for FF2010. A moderate artist and writer, she has a love of books, movies, and comics. She is a friendly soul, so don't be afraid to ask her questions or stop by the Den to chat! Savrin (Gaming Track) - I'm Savrin, an unsuspecting fennec that has been involved in the furry fandom around 14 years. Starting from a yahoo search for Robin Hood and going from there, he has been there and indeed, done that. Currently involved with KnotCast, he also can be seen as an occasional booth wench for FurPlanet. Kyo Foxtrot (Volunteer Wrangler) - Hey there! I'm Kyo, a 21/yo film major and part-time writer/artist in TN. I've been in the Furry Fandom for almost 10 years. I'm also a huge Anime geek. My character is a purple fox and has been showcased in a novel sold by FurPlanet.com. IRL at cons you can usually find me wearing all bright purple and pink. My friends on Knotcast have dubbed me the gayest gay to ever gay a gay! Balto (Art Show) - Greetings, I go by the furname Balto. In the fandom, I am a brown and tan wolf dog, an Alaskan sled dog by trade and also a "grey muzzle". I am a freelance cartoonist and a furry artist. I also have a web comic called "Critter County" which was a spin off from a series of comic books called "Orville" which was also a web comic. Critter County has been publised in several news papers nation wide. I have also created works for hire for christian publishing giant BB Kirk Bride and various private companies. In my spare time am an avid collector of original animation art (Disney, Warner Brothers, Don Bluth and various other studios) and I love going fossil hunting on weekends (hey, us canies love to dig you know). I am the newest addition to the Furry Fiesta staff, and being an artist myself I think I will be able to aniticipate the needs of artists wishing to participate in the artshow. Feel free to stop by the artshow and say hello. See ya at the con! Fuzzwolf (Conbook, Publicity) - I'm a 33-year old grey wolf with brown headfur. I've been in the fandom for ten years now. I own FurPlanet.com where I publish and sell furry comics, novels, art prints, CDs, etc. Please check out our store online and I'll also be selling furry stuff in the dealer's room. My other projects include writing, staffing Furry Fiesta and Oklacon and you may recognize my voice if you listen to KnotCast. His hobbies include rampaging across the countryside, eating gallon jugs of Cheez Whiz at a single shot, and doing the Hammer Slide with his best friend Godzilla. His role in the convention includes not only Audio / Visual work, but doing battle with any giant Kaiju monsters that happen along. Trevalyn (Dances) - Howdy! I'm a shadow tiger fur from Houston, TX (26y/o) thats been apart of the fandom for many years now. This will be my 2nd time being on staff for a fur con in Texas and I'm very excited. I enjoy music, tv, anime, WoW, and poker when I'm not busy with life. I've played piano since I was 6 years old, have composed and written my own music since I was 16, done remix commissions for artist like Amber, Rihanna, and Kristine W, and I DJ when I get the gigs. I've DJed now for almost 8 years and have played in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, and many others. Other furry cons I've DJ d for are FWA and Elliot's Live Events, and I can't wait to add Furry Fiesta to the list. I also currently DJ for Rainbow Tiger Radio (internet station) where you can find me playing nonstop mixes of dance and house music late Sunday evenings. Can't wait to see you at the con! =^.^= SilverStreak (Video Room, Twitter liason) - I'm Chakat Silverstreak, in charge of Video Room Programming. Though I've been interested in anthros for pretty much all my life, I've only really known what a Furry is and considered myself part of the fandom since about 1998 or so. I'm a pretty big science fiction buff, and am active in a few Star Trek email roleplaying games (in fact, as Silverstreak I'm Chief Engineer of the USS Montana), as well as being an anime fan who's worked the past two years as A/V Tech staff for Project A-Kon. Tigerwolf (Internet Room) - Tigerwolf is a retired USAF flight test program manager/engineer and is a rated senior navigator. Though a 'furry' inside since a kid, the Internet revealed others in 1993. Tigerden was founded in 1994 in part to contribute something back to the fandom. Since then, we've provided Internet room setups for various furry cons, web and muck hosting, and individual accounts for those lacking other facilities. We've also provided Internet for victims of hurricanes Katrina and Gustav and during extended power outages from windstorms in Ohio. Jeddar (Con Suite) - Hello! Jeddar here. Head of Consuite and general chief cook and bottle washer. I've been a fur in the community for a little over 21 years, only the last few locally with recent furmeets. Currently a computer tech turned Professional Chef-in-training, I am also a 36 year old ferret living semi-comfortably here in the Dallas area and happily wed to Halfwit Genius from Regsaff. This is my first time working on a constaff, but hey, gotta start somewhere! Halfwit Genius (Non-Fursuit Activities, Registration) - Hi! I'm Halfwit Genius, a... errr.... something who's been into anthropomorphics for years and a furry since about a year and a half to two years ago (largely due to my husband, Jeddar.) I'll be helping out with registration and, will be The Person Responsible for the Pinata Debacle of Furry Fiesta 2010. I enjoy reading both sci-fi and fantasy, and art of almost all shapes, sizes, and dimensions - especially language. Crys the Hybrid (Art Track) - Crys is a 21 year old Artist with a love for improving and helping others. She's very outgoing and enjoys being around others as well as showing those that are curious how to do anything she can. She currently resides in Dallas with her Fiancé and is hoping to one day be a big shot animator or comic artist. Shockwave (Writing Track) - Shockwave is just this wolf guy hailing from Houston. He writes furry and science fiction because he got annoyed at how little of that there was worth reading in modern bookstores. So he set out to entertain himself. He's an embedded systems developer who plays with both hardware and software in RL, for fun and for profit. He's got a wife and two kids, so he is grateful for any opportunity to escape. If you have heard of any of his stories or read any of his series, he'll be pleasantly surprised. PacerFox (Fursuiting Track) - Pacer is a fox (though he also has a wolf character and a phoenix character) who lives in Austin. He's been costuming for twelve years, and has working 6 years for a minor league hockey team as their mascot, as well as performing for many charity organizations. Glass (Security, Handyman) - A ferret that lends a paw where he can & desires for a brighter tomorrow, but secretly trains ninja chihuahuas to take pictures of you paying $8 for coffee. Usually ya wouldn’t notice me but I’m definitely here. Willing to do almost anything for hellos, hugs & ginger treats. Webster (Treasurer) - Well, what to say? I am a life-long fangirl who wandered into the furry fandom about two years ago. My home base is literary - science fiction and fantasy, with a heavy dose of Star Trek throughout my developmental years - and I have never been anything less than enthusiastic in my projects or fandoms.
